Hi, my name is Liz Benitez. I’m a Realtor with DeHanas Real Estate Services. I want to start off by thanking you for taking the time to read about me. With so many agents available to pick from this is a great first step in our relationship.

I’ve been dedicated to my craft since 2009 and have taken on the responsibility to educate myself so I can better serve my clients. I’ll go over some of my experiences, accomplishments, and designations a little later but first I wanted to take a moment of your time to tell you a little bit about myself.

I grew up on a small family farm in a little town called Tehachapi in southern California. In the 18 years I lived with my parents we didn’t move once, really not a single time. However I met the love of my life, Richard in 1996 and have moved with him 11 times throughout his military career and settling down with our two children here in southern Maryland.  So although my earlier years didn’t give me much experience with what it takes to uproot a whole household and transport it to somewhere new, my later years have given me more than enough knowledge to help you with the process. Richard and I have been established in Charles County, Maryland with our son and daughter since 2007. I have had the pleasure of watching my children excel in the Charles county school system, starting in elementary all the way through Community college where my youngest received her associates this year.

All of this, my life as a military spouse, our many, many moves, raising my children gives you a little glimpse of me. I wanted to tell you this so you would understand what motivates me, why I am so dedicated to making your move as seamless as possible, why when you have a question or concern at 9:30 in the evening I will answer my phone so you don’t have to stress through the night, why when you have a sudden hardship in the family I will be there to walk you through your options, why I will be smiling and laughing along with you when you sign on the dotted line for your first home.

I love real estate. I love walking through homes and helping my clients imagine a new life. I love being able to take pride in a clean contract, knowing my work speaks for itself. I love designing and making marketing material for my sellers. Most of all I love when I can make a transaction go so smoothly that my clients can say that they love real estate too.

I first came across DeHanas Real Estate Services as a client. My husband and I bought our first home with DeHanas in 2007. The friendly, helpful, family environment was exactly what we were looking for in a real estate company. One of the great things about DeHanas is that we really are a working family, willing to contribute and help each other out when ever needed. I knew when I started practicing real estate that DeHanas was the company I wanted to work with. Because we are a working family you not only get my years of expertise but also my broker’s, my associate broker’s, and my fellow agent’s knowledge and unique experiences to make your transaction everything it can be.

Before I let you go I want to get back to those experiences, accomplishments, and designations I hinted at. I’ve already spoken about my many, many moves with the military. I think the experience of having already gone through it is a world of help and knowledge for my clients but you will find plenty of agents that have some exposure with military so I have taken it a step further and earned my Military Relocation Professional (MRP) designation.

So many people have been hit hard over the past few years. I have been able to touch a few of their lives by successfully negotiating short sales helping my clients avoid foreclosure.  I feel this is a big part of my real estate craft and to help me better serve I have earned my Short Sale Foreclosure Resource (SFR) and my Certified Distressed Property Educator (CDPE) designations.

I have set myself apart from the average agent by taking the steps to educate myself over and above the minimum required continuing education. In addition to my MRP, SFR, & CDPE I have armed myself with the tools needed to help my buyers and sellers compete in a highly competitive housing market, and achieve their real estate dreams and goals by earning my Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR) and my Seller Representative Specialist (SRS) designations.

I am well rounded in various aspects of the real estate industry with a vast amount of experience in the residential marketplace. If you are thinking about building a home I have assisted clients in all of the phases from working with builders, design, construction, and right to closing. If you are thinking about selling your home I have walked my clients through the whole process from market analysis, valuation, listing, pictures, flyers, buyers, and settlement. If you are thinking about buying I have excelled in guiding them through searching, touring, offering, negotiating, inspecting, and closing.
